Grant and I went to the Illinois College Homecoming parade on Saturday morning. Beautiful weather for a parade I might add. Grant loved every minute of it too. He did his cute little off beat dance each time a marching band went by but was most busy collecting all of the candy that was thrown his way. He soon realized that if he smiled and waved it worked like a charm at gathering the goods. He had a whole Halloween pumpkin bucket full of candy by the end of the day. I also took him up to Porky Days-which turned out to be pretty lame for me but Grant had a good time because it involved frosting covered marshmallows on a stick!
Grant also enjoyed experiencing his first pumpkin carving! He loved it-almost too much...as it was very difficult for us to get all the insides scraped properly because he thought he could do it all by himself! Quite the independent little man now days! The pictures tell all about his reaction to the pulling out the pumpkin guts. Hahahaha-so fun to watch! Our new jack-o-lantern looks fabulous on our front porch! It's the best damn carved pumpkin EVER!
Oh and you'll find the random pictures of Grant hiding in the refrigerator on this blog too-silly kid. He keeps us all laughing!
