On May 24th Skid celebrated his 14th birthday! Although he is old he still runs and chases cars which is frightening for me to watch because I know he has several cataracts which as caused his vision to be impaired and he also can't hear as well too. A day after his birthday we noticed that he had a titled head and was walking sideways. He was also very disoriented and seemed so confused while trying to do normal everyday activities. He even ran smack into the door several different times. I knew I had to get him to the vet. I took him in and they checked him over and thought he may have an inner ear infection and gave me antibiotics to give him for a week. The vet stated that if after taking the medicine he hasn't improved it was likely the effects of a stroke. Well, we gave him his medicine religiously and he still has a tilted head (at times) so I'm certain the poor boy had a stroke. Getting old sucks! It's pitiful to watch!
