"The Gift of an Ordinary Day"

These are images from our
"ORDINARY DAYS"

The title of this blog post came from a video I watched that had been circulating facebook.  I watched it three separate times and each time I cried. It's just so true. If you get time...look it up. I think this is the address :  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=olSyCLJU3O0

It makes me totally want to buy the book:  "The Gift of an Ordinary Day" by Katrina Kenison

Seriously, if you are a MOM you will be glad you took the time to look up the link and WATCH!!! Especially mom's of boys-so relate-able. Even better actually, take the time to watch the video NOW and then take a look at my snapshots from our "ordinary days."

Lane saw the daycare kids doing it so he gave it a GO too.
Last regular season baseball game of the year. On to tournament this week.
My followers already know about Grants love for money-grandma gave him a 2 dollar bill. He was fascinated.
Jason is a fan of Jake Owen so we made the trip over to New Berlin on Saturday to see him in concert. Great show. Lots of fun! Appreciate and enjoy every second with my husband but especially time we have just the two of us.
 Love summer time!
Lane got goobered up by swinging on the swing on his belly.  face plant aftermath- scroll to the bottom to see pictures of  him doing this in action.
Took the daycare kiddos to the library-they enjoyed dressing up and being silly. Grant loves Brock!
Lane's favorite place is in the fridge.  He's always hanging on the door saying, "mama, mama, mama" until I open it for him-he's usually after grapes and sticks of string cheese.
Grant watching Aiden play DS
Notice-Lane left the fridge door open...

Lane loves tractors and trains. I couldn't resist taking a picture of his chubby little hands pushing his favorite toy
cute right? he now has an obsession with watching trains on youtube! wants to do it all of the time.
when he concentrates he sticks his tongue out
this is him saying "choo choo" can ya tell?
so cute

Lane's most favorite (I think even more so than tractors and trains) is BOOKS. He follows me around the house with a stack of books.  Saying, "book" until I eventually break down and read em. I feel like I have read more in the last five years of my life than I did in the prior 28 years combined. My boys LOVE books. Which is a great thing but my oh my does it get tiresome.

Jason had to dig a large hole in the ground to plant a tree and the boys LOVED playing in it!

They look like little moles. lol

 Big smiles.
I love them so very much.
oh this was Lane BEFORE falling and hurting his nose.
Bad Mom move on my part...as my motherly instincts were screaming at me "that is so dangerous he could get hurt-stop him!" but he was having so much fun that I just let him continue. Instincts were correct cause he did fall and he fell hard
