It's A Boy!!!!!!!

We are really excited to announce that we will be having a baby boy join our family. Jason and Grant came with me to my doctor's appointment on Thursday where Dr. Audet confirmed what he and we already expected....baby is definitely a boy...we got to see his boy parts very clearly. Grant was slightly disappointed at first and kept saying, "awww but I want a sister."

He is already over it though and has really taken to rubbing and kissing my belly and talking to his brother. He has talked about his brother a lot since that day and seems to be extra excited now. When we would go out to eat he would save an extra seat for his baby brother -and kept asking when his brother was going to "pop out" of my tummy.

I am excited to have another boy-boys are so exciting and fun!!!! A bit rough and rowdy at times but I will take that any day over whiny and pouty. If this new little one is anything like Grant he will love frogs, bugs, dirt and sand.....cars, trucks, airplanes, and wrestling.

While on our little trip this past week I couldn't help but imagine our lives a few years from now. Grant and his brother will have a blast doing boy things together-racing go carts, playing ball, riding all the extreme rides at Six Flags and just being rough and tough like boys should be. I don't doubt that Grant would have loved to have a sister-like he has been saying however I think that desire would have quickly worn off when his little sister would want to have a tea party instead of playing football...or when lil sis would want to play house while Grant would want to build a house......it will be nice to have the two of them doing/enjoying the same activities instead of being on two separate pages. Grant will be an excellent big brother....I just know it! He's been so sweet about BABY BROTHER since finding out last week....he makes sure to tell me what foods he think I should eat so his brother can have some and he informs me of what I can't do because I have BABY BROTHER in my tummy (ie-jump on the beds in the hotel). It's already been fun and I can't imagine how much more fun we will have when November gets here.
I am excited because now I can start shopping!!!! Now that it's official-I want to get some new clothes for baby boy and order his nursery stuff! I will be sure to post when I do!
