Ah...sweet vacation!

Grant -Mommy- with Scoob in front of the Mystery Machine
Running to get back in line for the Tidal Wave
Trying to squeeze the water out of his clothes after the Tidal Wave
Watching Cars movie while playing with Cars in the "tent" we made him in the hotel.
On the bridge at the Tidal Wave
As if the thrill of the ride wasn't enough-Grant wanted to stand on the bridge and wait for the ride to come and plow him with water.
Riding the train at Six Flags
Getting more wet-if that was possible
Running back from the Tidal Wave to tell Mom all about it.
Log Flume with Dad
Log Flume again!
Thunder River-one of his favorites
Ready set-get wet
Log Flume
This thing went extremely fast-I am so surprised he liked it enough to not only ride but ride twice!
Loved all of the BIG BOY rides and didn't seem interested in the little kid ones at all.
Classic! Love the looks on their faces. They rode the Log Flume probably 8 times.
Grant got to drive! He was excited about that!
Thunder River! Another one he rode several times! Loved it!
Jumping on the hotel beds
THE ZUCCHINI!
Jumping on the bed like it was a trampoline
At the doctors office with Mom! Got to see his little brother and take home some cool pictures of him.
Bath time with Mr. Zucchini!

We started out on our vacation immediately after my doctors appointment on Thursday. Grant got to sport his new Big Brother t-shirt. He refused to pose for a picture though-he was too busy checking out the gadgets in the room.
We picked our first zucchini from our garden Thursday afternoon -Grant fell in love with it and insisted on taking it on vacation with us...so we did. He took a bath with it...he slept with it...he covered it up with blankets. Odd but funny.
The first thing Grant wanted to do when we got to the hotel room was JUMP on the beds...so he did. He had a blast...we probably didn't ever have to leave the hotel for him to have a good trip. He had all he needed....beds to jump on, pool to swim in, and free popcorn and soda whenever he wished. Heaven for a kid!
Our first day we went to Six Flags. Grant's first time! He enjoyed it sooooo much more than I ever could have imagined. I got to see all of his facial expressions while he rode the rides as I (being pregnant) obviously couldn't ride anything. It was fun to watch! He had a blast. He enjoyed all of the water rides the most and didn't really have any interest in the the little kiddie land area-specifically designed for his age group. He had the need for speed and the desire for the extreme rides.
It was extremely hot-but the boys didn't seem to notice as they were constantly soaking wet. Thankfully the park wasn't that busy...and I was always able to find a spot to sit down. The boys hardly had to wait in line at all.
I worried that Grant may still be a bit young to enjoy a day at Six Flags but he proved that wrong immediately! He was never once scared and always kept a smile of excitement on his face. It was a joy for me to watch. A great way for Jay and I to spend our 5th Anniversary!!!! We are already thinking about next years trip.
