"King" -what a beautiful dog-right? So pretty.








Grant and I got a sneak peek at the Budweiser Clydesdales today. Grant's excitement started long before we even left home as he saw me eating my salad at lunch time-it's the bag salad that has little slivers of carrots in it....he dug out every last one of the carrots in my salad and put them in a bag. At the time he didn't say much about the horses but when it was time to leave for Jacksonville he became extremely considered about whether or not he had his bag of carrots and told me that he wanted them to feed to the horses. I explained to him that he could take his carrots but he probably wouldn't be able to feed the horses because they are special horses and they aren't ours so we shouldn't feed them. I had to giggle in my head though because those huge ass Clydesdale's would turn up their noses at such small little slivers of carrots...they would need a ginormous carrot stick...but here Grant was with his 15 small little slivers of carrot in his little plastic bag. Cute Cute Cute. Grant was amazed at how big they actually are. He kept saying, "they're HUGE!" He especially liked the one that kept his mouth open the entire time which made it appear to be smiling at us. He also liked feeding "King" the Dalmatian dog that sits shotgun on the Budweiser wagon. I am glad we went up to see them even though they will be at the Downtown Turnaround Celebration this weekend. Looks like a high chance of rain so good thing we got the visit with the horses in before the wet weather!
