Monday (Martin Luther King Jr. Day) we found ourselves at home with no where to go and myself with no little daycare kids to watch, so we made a super spontaneous decision to take Grant bowling. Inspired by us playing with Grants toy bowling ball and pins we have here at home. This was Grant's first time at the bowling ally and really seemed to enjoy himself. The ball seemed a bit heavy for him but he insisted on doing it by himself and when one of us would tell him, "be careful that ball is heavy," he would puff out his chest, lift the ball, and let out a grunt and respond, "no it's not." Funny stuff. We ended up eating at McDonald's because of course we can't drive by the place without Grant asking in his sweetest most manipulative voice, "can we go to McDonald's to eat please?" He ended up meeting two of the most sweetest kids there...and played tag with them until his face was red and his head turned sweaty. Funny watching him play though because at first he wasn't so sure since he didn't know the kids from Adam but then after a few moments you would have thought they were best friends. It was refreshing to see him play with such sweet and thoughtful little kids. Most times when we are in there I see complete chaos due to unsupervised, out of control kids. I really dislike how the parents think that they can just let there children run ramped without keeping an eye on them as of course that's when kids will act at their worst. But of course some of these unsurprising parents are the same ones that don't provide any structure or disciple to their kids at any time regardless of location and situation. I know one thing, if I see Grant acting inappropriate I always try to give him immediate consequences. Ok, off the subject a bit as I was talking about the two little kids Grant played with Monday...they were the OPPOSITE of that so it was soooooooooo refreshing.
Jason and I enjoyed our day off by spending some really awesome family time together. Life can't get any better than this can it?
