As we draw ever so close to Christmas day I have found myself so excited. Excited to be given the best gift of all. The gift of faith- given to me by the Holy Spirit. I do believe that Jesus Christ is my savior and died for my sins. My savior was born in a stable on Christmas! Let the joy of his birth be with you and your family as you unwrap your presents and drink your eggnog or whatever it is you do to celebrate on Christmas morning. It's a strange mix our society has created....isn't it? This mix of Santa Claus, presents, Christmas movies, wrapping paper, bows, mistletoe, and tinsel .......all mixed with the real reason for the celebration-THE BIRTH OF BABY JESUS. ?????? Strange mix I think but it can be a joyous one as well. As I watch Grant become more and more anxious and excited for Santa to visit him I can also see the beauty in it all. The love and excitement is there. Which is, in my opinion, are two of the most essential ingredients for the magical feeling the Christmas season brings. I leave you with one of my most favorite Christmas quotes.
"Christmas is not a time or a season but a state of mind. To cherish peace and good will, to be plenteous in mercy, is to have the real spirit of Christmas. If we think on these things, there will be born in us a Savior and over us will shine a star sending its gleam of hope to the world."
~ Calvin Coolidge (1872-1933)
