Toddler Time at the Library

Took Grant (for the second time) to Creative Toddler Time at the Library today. It's so wonderful for him to participate in as he is so extremely shy around new people and kids his own age. In this environment he is around children of his own age and also gets to be with me so I can try to coach him and encourage him to get involved. He does well as long as I am actively participating too but the minute I stop he stops. Ugh. I am hoping and praying he transitions well next year for pre-k. I know Miss Elisha will take good care of him and help him along. Back to Toddler Time....he loved painting and singing songs. We (once again) had a terrific time.
While shopping today Grant found BuzzLightyear shoes -the kind that light up. I extremely dislike these kinds of shoes (and don't even really know why other than they look cheap and cheesy...) and always told myself I would never ever buy this kind of shoes but sure enough I caved and we now own them. I saw the enormous grin on his face when I let them hold them and knew right then and there that he had WON. I just can not tell him "no" when he gives me that sweet little smile. And actually now that we own the shoes and I have watched him wear them with pride -they're really not that bad!
I pick up the last of his stockin stuffers today and now just have to wrap em and stuff em and then I am ALL done.
Been missing my parents quite a bit lately and hope to go home to see them on Saturday (of course after I take Grant to see Santa and his reindeer). Cassie won't be able to be with us on Thanksgiving because it's not our weekend to have her so Grant and I are excited to be able to see her this weekend instead.
Only 3 more days to HP7. I have four of the movies recorded on DVR but had to rent the last two from Fam Vid today -felt lucky to get my hands on them before the 7th comes out on Thursday. Vicki is joining us again tonight for Chili and more HP movies.
Last night I tried a new recipe. Bacon wrapped meat loaf. Extremely good except for I didn't cook it as long as I should have...gonna have to try that one again and do it better next time. Already excited about that.
Boy-I just re-read over everything I just wrote and realized I lead a pretty boring life-if shoes, cooking, and movies are all I have to talk about. I guess I like it like that though-would hate to have more drama or craziness.
