We had a great week! We spent most of our time outside since the weather was so great! However, Grant did have to experience his first sunburn. I felt horrible about it -but we are over that now and have learned that no matter what we will be putting sunblock on. Thursday we went to the park in Concord -he put rocks in his mouth and somehow managed to find fresh bird poop to play in. He loves the slide -so we went down that several times. He had many firsts this week. First sunburn, first sucker, first taste of rocks, first roll in bird poop, and first trip to Steak n Shake. All of which were equally exciting for us. Friday we went to the new Wal-Mart in Beardstown and then went to see Daddy at the bank. That's where Grant got his first sucker. He loved it! It was of course all over and sticky but it was fun. We then went to the Arenzville park. Grant had a blast. We tried out each and everyone of the playground equipment. We then took a stroller ride to Beard Implement to give b-day wishes to our buddy Jeremy. Oh, and the best part yet....we sat on the corner for about 30 minutes and watched the tree trimmers chop the big tree down. The boys (Cordell and Grant) loved that. Then it was time to go back home and play. And play we did! Grant walked around our entire yard for what seemed like at least 40 laps. He played in the sandbox, played with Skid, got on the swings, and went for another stroller ride. Boy, was he ever ready for bed that night...he was tuckered out and so was I. Saturday, we went to Springfield with Aunt Vicki. We had alot of fun with her-like we always do. She and Grant are so close and very good buddies....it's fun to watch the two of them together. Grant went to Steak n Shake with us for the first time. We ordered him a grilled cheese and cheese fries. He licked off all the cheese from the fries and only ate the cheese of the bread of the sandwich -so basically he enjoyed a lunch full of nothing but CHEESE. Fun!
