Well, I have several things to update you on. To start with, Friday was Grant's 1/2 Birthday. He is now 6 months old. His half birthday was pretty uneventful ...however, my daycare kids did sing Happy Birthday to him, which was sweet of them. Grant and I didn't go to the big football game that night -although we both wanted to. We stayed home and hung out with Uncle Mike, Aunt Lori, and Aunt Vicki. It was nice to just sit around and chat. But I think we stayed up too late because when Saturday morning rolled around I was exhausted. Saturday morning and afternoon was spent cleaning and preparing for Vicki and Mick's party. We got lucky with the weather....it was perfect. Not too hot, too cold, or too windy....it was juuuuuust right. I think everyone, including me, had a great time. I believe it was Vicki's idea to start a game of flippy cup....I thought I would be in for a game or two but since my team kept winning, one game quickly turned into 8 games. Vicki and Mick had a nice turn out. It was great that all of our Aunts and Uncles were able to make it. Sunday ended up being a lazy Sunday. Of course we had a bit of clean up to do but for the most part, we just hung out and watched TV. Mike and Lori stayed most of the day-which was nice cause they got to spend some time with baby Grant. Overall it was a very pleasant weekend. Last night however was not so pleasant because Grant woke up at 3am. Since we know he is cutting teeth and has been in pain the past few days we couldn't let him cry it out so Jason and I took turns being up with him. Poor little guy. We know he is hurting and there's not much we can do for him but give him teething tablets and Tylenol. So it's been rough so far today....but we'll make it.
