The Cutest Pumpkin in the Patch

We went to Beardstown yesterday to get our pumpkins. It was Grant's first trip to the pumpkin patch. He wasn't sure what to think of it all. He liked to touch them and then once he was done touching he wanted to chew on them- and of course I couldn't get to him quick enough to stop his little mouth from touching the dirty pumpkin...so he had a dirty mouth after our trip there. He found some leaves and pieces of straw to play with too. It was a bit warm out to have the real fun and festive feel of picking out pumpkins but that's ok-at least the sun was shinning....that's all I ever care about. Grant spent a lot of time with his Daddy this week end. I went shopping in Springfield on Saturday and was gone most of the day -which was longer than I had anticipated. When I returned I spent the remainder of the day mowing grass. Today I have been trying to get the house a bit more tidy since this week end we will be hosting the wiener roast party for Vicki and Mick. My house is a mess and it seems so challenging to keep it picked up-especially with my daycare kids here. Grant and I made a trip to Wal-Mart this morning. I feel like we spend half of our income at freakin Wal-Mart. I honestly feel like I have to go there at least two times a week.
