Christmas 2015 (Plus some)

when Lane turned 4 we decided to transition him out of naptimes. It's worked out really well but every once in a while I will find him cashed out.

Noodle kept the boys very entertained throughout the month of December. I love our house elf but I must say it's great seeing him go because now the boys don't wake up at 5 am to see where he is. They would seriously get up at 5 and sprint downstairs flipping on all of the lights until they spotted him. I am not a morning person so this was not my favorite.

Lane and Papa Ham watching the original Care Bears movie. The same movie- that was my first ever movie I watched in the movie theater when I was a kid. (Sidenote: my Dad doesn't always wear character shirts- he was dressed this way to attend Mallory's Mickey Mouse themed birthday party- lol)

We got ears- say cheers!

Hard to believe that this sweet girl is now 4!

Church Christmas program

Lane had me nervous as I didn't know if he'd perform since he got scared at his school program and cried. But he did well. He said his one line "FEAR NOT" even though he said it in a soft fast whisper he at least said it. He also sang all of the songs too. Don't get me wrong he still acted like a ham up there. He kept pulling his shirt up, trying to hold hands with Grant, played with Grant's tie, and acted goofy. Definitely kept me on the edge of my seat. I saw him a few times attempting to pull his pants down! Thank goodness he didn't!

All of the kiddos did a fantastic job!

cuddle time with Grandma Fricke

Grant went through Uncle Jacob's old room - and went through his stuff.- With the permission of Jacob of course

More Noodle pictures. We called the number and left a message for Santa. Grant wanted to call again because he wanted to add more items to his Christmas list so I just hit the "recent calls" button and when you do that it apparently shows you where the call is going to - in this case it said, "California" -this really confused Grant  - he said, "what? wait? why does it say California and not the North Pole?" good question, Grant.

messy but waaaay cool -

Santa hat day at school- these boys are so cute

Lane went through a phase when he wanted to stack cups- this kid has hundreds of toys but got hours of enjoyment off of plastic cups

Grant trying on an Ugly Sweater - can you believe Jason wore this to work?

Noodle said good-bye

Christmas morning- this year was so much more enjoyable than last Christmas. Last Christmas eve Grant got the flu and felt sick well into Christmas morning. This year we had a perfect Christmas! Everyone felt good and enjoyed opening gifts

All Christmas season Grant was hyper focused on if he would get everything on his list from Santa. He talked about it constantly. I was feeling discuraged because I thought we were raising ungrateful kids who were missing the meaning of Christmas. But Christmas morning before tearing into their gifts from Santa Grant stopped and paused and looked around for the gifts he had to give to us. He wanted to give us our gifts from him first- this melted my heart and had me believing once again that we aren't messing up our kids. They are sweethearts! God has blessed us with some amazing kiddos!

Grant got an ipod from Santa! He was so pumped!

Birthday cake for baby Jesus

it was so fun to watch the boys play with all of their new toys. it's nice to know we don't have to go anywhere on Christmas Day- and we can just stay at home and enjoy these precious moments.

Christmas wore Lane out

tag teaming Uncle Jacob

So this happened....I woke up the morning after we got strong winds and rains to no window in our laundry room and the ceiling linking rainwater in our living room. It makes me even more anxious for our remodel project to start!

The picture Lane drew of Grandma Fricke. He did this all by himself- pretty impressive and quite funny too.

Enjoyed ringing in the New Year with these good people!

The boys had a blast ringing in the New Year with Aunt Vicki, Uncle Mick and Mallory!

Yes, Aunt of the year award would go to Vicki who allowed confetti and silly string INSIDE the house.

Celebrated this guy's 7th birthday at his house for a really fun Lego party!

Cottingham Christmas- where cousin wrestling is a MUST

Lane got Pie Face from Mama and Papa Ham and everyone took a turn getting whipped cream in the face. It was a hit for young and old alike.

Jason's bank Christmas party was a good time this year. Last year we were all sick with the flu and wasn't able to attend.
