Crazy Busy Weekend

 We started off the craziness on Saturday morning. Since Grant is now Lil Mister Burgoo, we now get to attend and participate in all of the local parades for the next year. Beardstown had their Fall Fest this weekend -so that was where we were Saturday morning.  Grant had a blast -he loved cruising in the convertible with his two lady friends. He especially loved seeing Courtney again.

 Lane absolutely loved the parade. He enjoyed collecting candy to put in his bag.  He didn't really eat much of it (he'd have me open a ton but he'd never eat them..grrr) but he just sat there as chill as could be and watched the entire hour and fifteen minute long parade.  He really enjoyed seeing Grant and Jason, the tractors, clowns and horses. There was one float that had live calves and he really got excited about that.

 This boy can destroy a cheeseburger in 5 minutes flat.  We went to Applebees after the parade and my family got a kick out of him and how much food he could fit into his little mouth at one time!

 Steamshow 2013. Lane was in heaven. They had his two favorite things- tractor and trains. And he got to ride both! Grant's favorite was the corn maze.  He was thrilled to lead our group through and out of the maze successfully.

 I feel blessed to have these sweet boys in my life.  I am trying to savor every moment of their precious little lives. Part of the reason I take so many pictures and blog about them is because I want to never forget their sweet little youthful faces.

 We got home from the steamshow at around 4:45. Lane had fallen asleep in the car. Grant started to not feel well-ended up getting sick and then went to sleep too...both boys were out like lights by 6:30. 

 After the parade Saturday morning...Jason and I attended my 15 year class reunion.  It was nice to see everyone again. It's so strange how much people can change and stay exactly same all at the same time. Appearances for the most part were the same (with only a few exceptions) and everyone's' demeanor and characteristics were pretty spot on the same too. Amazing.  Due to being busy in the morning we didn't get there until about 4 (it started at 1 at the Spirit Knob Winery in Ursa) so by then there had been several bottles of wine polished off and I got to sit back and be entertained by those of which had "a bit too much" -it was a great time. After the winery we had dinner in Quincy but then had to scoot out to make it back to AJ's. Amazingly enough, some of my high school classmates have been to AJ's before!!! Crazy. 

 Meyers Signs (Lorratta Meyers and her husband) made these magnetic signs for us! They look great.

With parade, class reunion, and AJ's on Saturday-then,  Steamshow all day Sunday I am ready for another weekend to come -preferably a stay- at- home weekend.  I don't foresee any of those in our near future though...as this coming weekend will also be a "go go go" kind of weekend.
