Lane is (in my opinion) officially sleep trained. It really didn't take much work. I was dreading it because I recall how exhausting and heartbreaking it was for us to sleep train Grant. But Lane was easy compared to his brother. Yes, there was a night here and there that he cried quite a bit but for the most part now he just goes right to sleep without even making a peep. And if he does "peep" it's just a few light whimpers for a few minutes and then off to dreamland he goes. I do still feed him at least once in the middle of the night because I feel guilty leaving him in there all night without food (cause since he can't talk how am I to know if he is hungry, right???) But with time I will wean him from that as well. It's been sooooo nice to have him in his crib and sleeping on his own. I feel less tied down and more able to give myself, Jason, and most importantly, Grant more time!
He is also no longer a breastfed baby. Formula only for the past few weeks and from now on. Kind of sad for us both as I really feel a loss of that special time for us but we'll be ok.
Its a busy week for the Frickes. Tonight Grant and I are going to MOPS (the mom's group I have told you about) tomorrow night Grant and Lane are going to ORDC while I attend my boarding meeting. Jason also has a meeting at the bank at the same time so I am going to let the boys hang out at their daycare service for a while until the meeting is over. Thursday -Lane has his four month checkup and shots. Ugh. And we also have a Family Fun Night at Grant's school that evening we are going to. Friday it's by bday so we are going out to eat. I am not sure where I want to go yet-maybe Lonzo's??? Then we end the week on Saturday by attending the Triopia Powerful Dreams event. Ugh...busy busy busy.
