Monday I had my last and final OB appointment! It was kind of bitter sweet-since I know this will be our last child I kept thinking how this was my last time going to my OB for a prenatal appointment. Afterwards I had an appointment at the hospital to per-register for the surgery on Monday. It took a lot longer than I had anticipated but it will be nice on Monday when we go in to deliver to have everything already done and paperwork and all the preliminaries completed.
Tuesday I cleaned and cleaned and cleaned until I couldn't clean anymore! Then when Grant came home from school he was so excited to tell me about his school book fair and the books that he wanted that I had no other choice but to take him back up to school so he could attend and buy at the book fair. Gee whiz that kid loves BOOKS! He was sooooooooooo excited and knew exactly which books he wanted.
Wednesday I enjoyed some quality GIRL time with my bestie. We went to get our pedicures and oh my was it amazing! I needed one so desperately-especially since I haven't been able to reach my toes for some time now. I always enjoy chatting with my girl Amy-I am so blessed to have her in my life! I tried to savor our night out as it will most likely be the last GIRLS NIGHT OUT in a long while considering we both will have newborns!
Thursday morning I went to watch Grant sing in the Veterans Day program at his school. He did a fantastic job and I am so happy I attended as it was a WONDERFUL program. I was impressed! I was extra emotional and ended up crying while watching the slideshow they presented and watching all the little kids singing and waving their American flags for the Veterans who came to be honored. I was also surprised by a little celebration from the daycare kiddos. Kyle brought cupcakes for snack and the kiddos gave me a card and let me know to expect a new baby swing in the mail as a group gift from all of them. They are so sweet -I got a lot of little homemade cards that they drew for me and baby too! Sooooo sooo sweet!
Here we are on Friday afternoon-Jason has the day off of work which is nice as it has allowed us both to get some things done around here. I think we are pretty prepared for baby to arrive and really don't have much else left to do before hand. I have two little daycare kiddos here today -and they are being so good! They are always good but they seem to be even more sweet today. We were going to go to the library (per Grant's request) but unfortunately they are closed today so we went to Walmart, the pet store, McDonalds, and Family Video instead. This is my last day to watch daycare kids until January 2012. Grant sure is going to miss his friends -we may have to make arrangements for some playdates sometime soon.
Tomorrow morning we plan on taking Grant to town to spend some good quality family time with him-it's somewhat strange to think this is the last weekend for us to be the family we currently are-after this weekend we will never be a 3 person family again and our lives will change forever (in a wonderful way of course). I want Grant to feel as special as possible during this transtiton and I sure hope he does well with the adjustment. He is extremely excited about meeting his brother-he has pulled the paper chains off every morning (at 6am) to count down the days and always gives the baby (my belly) lots of hugs and kisses and talkings to. He is so sweet about it too! Melts my heart! I think I will spend Sunday re-cleaning the house and just relaxing before our big EXCITING day on Monday!
