 Really Grant?  He goes to the store and gets to choose ANYTHING he wants-he comes out with a book. So happy he loves books that much though!

We had a wonderful weekend! Roasted wieners and marshmallows on Saturday night and went to The Great Pumpkin Patch in Arthur on Sunday afternoon. It was beautiful weather. Sunny and 70!  No winds! Awesome!  The patch we chose was a few hours away which was the only downside but it really wasn't that bad. Grant took a nap on the way there and watched movies on the way back.  It really didn't seem that far and anyways in our opinion it was well worth the drive.  TGPP was set up so festively and unique.  They had a band playing and lots of options for concessions.  Lots of fun things for little ones to do-they didn't have the best petting zoo and didn't have a corn box but they made up for it in other areas. Grant had a great time but I think out of the three of us I had the best time! I just love going to things like this....it makes me so happy and content for some reason!  Grant picked out several pumpkins and gourds and although they had mums and nice size pumpkins for my porch display we decided we would still go to Heiderschiets in Beardstown to buy my stuff.  Cheaper and want to keep our business local!  We will definitely be making a return visit next year! Thanks Ganz for posting this idea on Facebook otherwise I am not sure we would have found it or been as satisfied with our pumpkin patch choice!  We thought about going to Bomke Pumpkin Patch which is closer to Springfield but since that is where Grant and his class will be going on their field trip in a few weeks we thought we'd better go somewhere different. Would hate to ruin the excitement and fun of Grant's first ever field trip! We had an excellent -festive weekend!
