Grant feeding the goats at the Steamshow on Saturday
He loved feeding the animals
Waiting in line for the Wobble Wagon with his sweet little cousin -Cassie! Aren't they too stinkin cute?
Wobble Wagon
Grant got to "learn to drive a tractor" at the Steamshow.
He thought he was cool stuff. Notice he is already driving one handed.
Cold but having fun at Cruise Night on Saturday
Good little kids-watching the COOL cars and trucks drive by at Cruise Night
Sunday we went to our last Cardinals game of the year-posing with Fredbird!
Friday night Jason, Grant and I headed over to Mendon (my ole stomping grounds) and attended the Unity -Triopia football game. It was so strange to be back "home" and yet be watching the game from the visitors side. Grant had fun for about 20 minutes then he said, "ok, Mom, I am done with the football game now, can we please leave?" We were able to entertain him for a while longer by using our iphones to play episodes of Little Bear and Max and Ruby but that didn't last as long as I had hoped for. Anyways-by the end of the third quarter Grant and I wound up hanging out in the car and watching movies. Which I was fine with since the Trojans were winning 34-0 and there wasn't much excitement to be seen at the game anyways. Plus my back was killing me and it was a bit chilly so it was nice to be in the warm car -snuggled up with my #1 little man -watching movies.
Saturday my family came here for the Steamshow/Cruise Night. We attended the Steamshow but I wasn't impressed this year...I don't know why because it was pretty well the same as it has been every year...maybe I am just bored with it now that we have attended for four consecutive years. Grant was dissapointed that they didn't have the bunnies there like they did last year but other than that I think he had a great time and was happy to have gone. He rode the train, wobble wagon, and got to drive a tractor. Later that night we went to Cruise Night. Grant and Cassie had a great time running around and playing...every once in a while they would sit down and actually watch the cars go by but for the most part they were "on the move."
Sunday after Grant went to Sunday School (which he loves by the way) we went to St. Louis for the last regular season game of the year. Grant enjoyed getting his picture taken with Fredbird and shopping at the gift shop. He took home another Cardinals bat and ball. I think he is starting a collection! It was beautiful weather for a ballgame.. Sunny and 66....felt so much better than the last time we went in July -Sunny and 96!!
I am currently on the hunt for a festive place to go this weekend-somewhere that screams "FALL IS HERE"-somewhere like Robinson Family Farms...I am so bummed out that they are selling out and no longer open! That place was a blast! I am sure we will find somewhere...and I want to for sure go over to Beardstown to pick out pumpkins and get them sprayed and out! Should be a fun weekend to kick off the start of OCTOBER! Can you believe it? It's already freakin OCTOBER! Incredible!
