I had a wonderful weekend filled with sunshine, time with a dear friend, and extra special time with my two boys (Jay and Grant-as if you didn't know who I was referring to).
HELLO SPRING! I have been waiting for you to arrive...thanks for bringing the sun, the warm temperatures, and the start of all things new. God is good! I love seeing the trees starting to fill up with their tiny little (start of) buds and grass starting to green up...oh and best of all the yellow dandelions (yes, I know it's a weed but even a bright yellow weed can been beautiful).
Grant has been reestablishing his role as the DIRTY ONE. He was covered in dirt from head to toe today after a long spurt of being out this morning soaking up the sun...and in Grant's case....soaking up the DIRT. I am so anxious for the REAL SPRING to arrive though. I know that sounds ungrateful but it really isn't because I am extremely thrilled with the fact that it is officially spring...but to me spring isn't "Official according to Dana" until there is not the threat of snow in a few days. Ugh. Seriously 75 and sunny on Monday with the promise of 40 degree and below temps by Friday. It kind of takes the fun out of things a bit. Until then, I am sporting my short sleeve shirt and flip flops. Oh, and the sunglasses!
