Beautiful snowy backyard
Grant's cheeks after being outside. Seriously took an hour to get back to normal flesh color
Watching Skid some more
Laughing. I love love love to hear Grant's laugh. It's the most precious sound in the whole world!

Getting ready to build a towerOver cleaned the fridge. Thankfully we went shopping today to fill it back up. looking clean but BARE.
loved knocking snow off the bushes

Ok, it's been a long week for me. The unexpected snow days made me feel like I was running a zoo or an auditorium or something. Kids get excited when they don't have school but even more excited on unplanned/unscheduled days out. Oh my goodness were they LOUD and HYPER! We had fun I just gained several day long head aches because of it. Grant loves having them here up until a certain point then he's just tired of not being the sole recipient of my attention. He was put into time out several times the other day for acting up and after time out I always try to talk to him about why he went and what he learned. After doing so he took my face in his hands, and said, "Mommy, I like it better just you and Grant I want the kids to go home now!" Cutest thing ever! I think it's good for him though. Mix it up a bit so he can adapt well to changes. So yesterday the kids returned to school and Grant and I returned to our normal routine. He's something else I tell ya. For instance he is really into turning everything around that I say and reciprocating it. I say, "Grant do you know you are such a sweet little boy?" Grant responds with, "Mommy, do you know that you are a sweet little girl?" I say, "Grant you look so nice today." Grant's reply, "Mommy you look so nice today." I hope this isn't a sign of any kind of disorder or problem. I think it's way too cute but I am his mother so almost everything he does and says is way too cute.

I took Grant outside yesterday morning to build us a snowman and soon found out that it was impossible snow to build with. It wouldn't pack for anything! Think it needs to be a bit warmer for it to be accomplished. Grant had fun anyway though. He enjoyed building his own structures. Castles and towers. He also enjoyed playing with Skid. We'll have to hit up the outdoors again this weekend. Grant loves the snow too much not to.

Yesterday I over exerted myself. I did an extremely deep clean of the kitchen. I took down, washed, and ironed all the curtains. I cleaned out the fridge and behind it. I soaked all of the decorative beads/flowers and dusted the tops of the cabinets. I of course did all the basics along with that-swept, mopped, dishes, and cleaned McDonald's tank. After it was all said and done I was one tired chick. I wanted to do nothing but put my feet up and watch my DVR recordings (The View and Oprah)....so that's what I did.

Looking forward to the weekend as I hope to tackle more of the rooms in this house. Sometimes wonder why I do it as it seems to get messed within minutes of my daycare kiddos stepping foot in here and of course Grant comes with his own tornado too....but it needs it so desperately. I always keep the house semi-clean. But rarely do I DEEP CLEAN. Really need to make it more of a habit because it really does feel nice when it's done.

I haven't posted Grant's top 10 list lately so I will end this blog with one.

1. still loving books (although now he likes to have us listen to him instead of him to us)
2. still loving CANDY (we try to only give him sweets after he accomplishes pooping by himself)
3. loves renting movies from Family Video (usually the same ones, Curious George, Corduroy, How to Train Your Dragon)
4. loves us to sing to him each night before bed. My song to him is always "Hush Little Baby" -we substitute the word "baby" for "Grant." And Dad always sings "Take Me Out To The Ballgame."
5. Pancakes/Waffles
6. Playing in the snow
7. Watching Nighttime Football or Basketball (or anything else that may buy him a few minutes before we make him go to bed)
8. playing with Ears. Yep, he still likes it and still does it. He has his favorite ears to play with too. Kyle and Cordell must have some good lobes or something because he's always holding theirs.
9. playing with play dough
10. playing board games....although he never plays the right way...which can be very frustrating for me at times.

Well, there ya have it. Grant's TOP TEN!
